Its all about MEEEEEE!! ;o)
Not quite sure how interesting this will be...or how interested you will be lol! But heck, lets give it a go!
Im a single Mum of two brilliant children (Amy and Harry!) and Im approaching the BIG 40 at an alarming rate! So Im trying to pack everything in before my body categorically says NO!! ENOUGH!! And promptly disintegrates lol! But until then the Craziness continues.....
Last year I completed the infamous John O Groats to Lands End bike ride or JoGLE as it is otherwise known and it was such an amazing experience I had a rethink on my life direction and decided on a career move and began working for The Myton Hospices. I love being able to contribute to such a wonderful organisation every day but Id still like to do more to promote their work and raise money at the same time. Working in the fundraising department I get to see many of the comments left by donors and it makes me so proud and privileged to be part of the Myton Team.
But the thing that makes me so passionate about Myton are the Nurses and Therapists that always manage to make every patient and their families feel important and cared for. Ill tell you a little story that for me just sums up the attitude of the care staff at Myton. This particular day I walked into the kitchen and there was a Physio and a group of Nurses chatting while on their break and they were discussing a patient that had recently been admitted. They were all so thrilled and excited about the positive progress the patient was making since they had been in Myton. There was no-one there for them to impress, no doctors or directors or families to hear...... they just genuinely CARED and were genuinely DELIGHTED the patient was improving. I think that says it all really :o)
So PLEASE!! Help me "Sponsor a Nurse" and give whatever you can by visiting my JUST-GIVING page or simply DONATE BY TEXT!
